Privacy

Last updated October 20, 2026

Vomidi is made by Tachyo Labs. This policy covers the Vomidi web app at vomidi-app.netlify.app and the link between it and the Vomidi plugin on your computer.

The short version

On your phone

Recordings, their names and tags, and whether they've been sent are stored in your browser on your phone. They aren't sent anywhere until you link the phone to Vomidi. The microphone is used only while you're recording. Deleting an idea in the app deletes it from the phone.

When you link your phone

Linking gives your phone a random pass for your copy of Vomidi, and your copy of Vomidi's public encryption key. Neither includes your name, email or any account.

While linked, each idea you record — the audio and its name, tags, date and length — is encrypted on your phone with that key before it's uploaded (end-to-end encryption, using the NaCl “box” construction). Only the matching secret key, which stays on your computer, can open it. Our server and our hosting provider see only encrypted data, its size, and when it was sent.

On your computer

The Vomidi plugin saves the ideas it collects in Music › Vomidi › Inbox, and keeps its link settings, including its secret key, in its settings file. Neither leaves your computer.

What we don't do

No user accounts, advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. We never sell or share your ideas or anything about you.

Children

Vomidi isn't directed at children under 13.

Changes
